Columbia police arrest woman accused of hitting man, damaging his cell phone

Columbia police arrested Amy Rievley on Monday night after officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Range Line Street for reports of a disturbance.

Rievley was accused of hitting a man in the face and groin with a closed fist. The victim had scrapes and scratches to his arm and swelling to his cheek.

Police said Rievley also damaged the victim’s cell phone by throwing it against the floor, which caused the screen to shatter.

Officers found two glass pipes on Rievley.

Rievley faces possible charges of assault, property damage and possession of drug paraphernalia.
