Columbia police arrest two after finding 90 grams of marijuana in car

Columbia police arrested Deazjon Brown and Drevonte Robinson early Saturday morning after officers conducted a traffic stop with a car in the McDonald’s parking lot on Clark Lane.

Police said they stopped the car because it was displaying a license plate of another vehicle.Officers later determine Brown was the driver and Robinson was the passenger.

Police said they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car and saw Brown toss out a small bag which contained cocaine.

Officers searched the car and found 90 grams of marijuana and also found a lot of money on Brown.

Brown faces possible charges of distribution, delivery, manufacturing, producing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Robinson faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance.
