The Columbia Fire Department reports no one was hurt Thursday morning after a semi-truck fire on Interstate 70.
Firefighters responded to the fire in the eastbound lanes near the 129-mile marker in Columbia around 5:50 a.m. The cause of the fire is unknown.
An eastbound lane of I-70 is expected to remain closed to drivers until about 7 a.m., according to MoDOT's Traveler Information Map.

Crews have reopened the passing lane on eastbound Interstate 70 at the 129-mile marker just after 6 a.m.

Emergency crews are responding Thursday morning to a semi-truck fire on eastbound Interstate 70 in Columbia.
Crews shut down both eastbound lanes of the interstate near the 129-mile marker around 5:50 a.m. Boone County Joint Communications encouraged drivers to find another route around the scene.
