Lake Ozark police arrest woman accused of driving drunk, causing two men to get run over by car

Lake Ozark police arrested Jill Chevalier on Saturday after officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision with injuries on State Road 242 at Bagnell Dam Blvd.

When officers arrived on scene, Chevalier had slurred speech, blood shot and glassy eyes and was unable to walk properly. She admitted that she had consumed alcohol prior to the crash.

Chevalier admitted to police she was driving a Ford Escape when it rear ended a Honda, which caused it to run over two men and strike a Nissan Altima.

Police said Chevalier became uncooperative on scene and said she needed medical attention. She also refused to provide a sample of her blood.

Officers said Chevalier was taken to the Lake Regional Hospital and two samples of her blood were obtained by a search warrant.

According to the probable cause statement, the men who were run over by the Honda sustained serious physical injuries and were taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

Chevalier was charged with two counts of a DWI that caused a serious physical injury.
