Soggy Saturday, Sunny Sunday
TODAY: Rain has ended this morning but another round is not too far behind it. Expect showers with a few isolated thunderstorms embedded. The biggest concern with today isn’t necessarily the severe weather but the flood potential associated with it. A Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday night along Highway 54 and south with the highest rainfall totals are going to be near I-44. High temperatures will range from the upper 40s north of I-70 to the mid to upper 50s in the Ozarks as warmer air lifts north through the day.
TONIGHT : Our active weather pattern will come to an end for a little while tonight as this final batch of rain moves out. Lows tonight will drop to near 30 with the passing of a cold front. It will be windy tonight as this cold front pass with winds at times gusting up to 35 mph.
EXTENDED : We will finally be able to catch our breath from the active weather we have been experiencing over the past week. Sunshine will be plentiful on Sunday, making it the better day of the weekend to go outdoors. Highs will warm into the middle 60s by Tuesday. We will continue to track a storm system moving through the area by Wednesday, bringing with it our best chance for rain over the next week.
