Centralia police arrest two after officers find 70 grams of methamphetamine
UPDATE 11:05 am: Baker has been charged with trafficking drugs and delivery of a controlled substance.
According to the probable cause statement, Baker is currently out on bond for drug trafficking charges from Audrain County and continues to traffic drugs.
Police said Baker is a well know trafficker and one of the biggest distributors in the area and likely has access to large sums of money.
Baker has a long history of drugs and alcohol violations.
ORIGINAL STORY: Centralia police arrested Michael Baker and Lucinda Levings on Tuesday after officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in a Dollar General parking lot.
Officers conducted a search of the suspicious car and found 70 grams of methamphetamine and a pipe.
Police said they also found a young child in the vehicle.
Baker was taken to the Boone County Jail and faces possible charges of trafficking drugs, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance.
Levings faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.
