Convicted child molester pleads guilty to sodomizing Fulton prison inmate

A Jefferson City man pleaded guilty to sodomy on Monday in court.

James Gibson admitted that he sodomized an inmate at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center while the two were incarcerated there.

The victim reported that Gibson had threatened to physically assault him if he did not submit to the sexual contact. Gibson also admitted that the victim had not consented to the act.

The judge sentenced Gibson to seven years in prison to be served consecutively to the 10 year sentence he is currently serving for child molestation.
