Severe weather causes cancellations at Columbia Regional Airport

Multiple departing flights have been canceled at Columbia Regional Airport Wednesday morning.

“Winter weather stretching from Dallas to Chicago and back west to Denver has caused numerous cancellations and delays at COU and other airports,” said a post on the airport’s website. “Check your flight status before you depart for the airport.”

Morning flights to Chicago and Denver were marked “canceled” as a result of the above mentioned weather.

“Runway conditions have remained good in Columbia,” said airport manager Mike Parks. “United Airlines canceled the incoming flights lst night due to weather flying this way. Due to those cancellations, there are no United planes on the ground to leave this morning on time.”
