Columbia police arrest man accused of asking women for sexual favors

Columbia police arrested Enoch Peters on Tuesday after he was accused of assault.

According to the probable cause statement, Peters approached a woman’s residence and knocked on the door. When the woman answered, Peters grabbed the screen door so the woman could not close it.

Peters was accused of saying, “Do you want to have sex?”

The woman immediately pushed the door closed and locked it. She told officers she was scared of Peters behavior.

A second female victim told police that Peters knocked on her door and heard him mumble “hand job.”

The female said she immediately closed the door, locked it and checked the rest of the doors in her residence. She told officers she was scared by Peters behavior.
