Crane hits overpass at I-70 and Paris Road, crews inspecting damage

UPDATE 12:35 pm: Bridge inspectors completed their review and found nothing of concern for the traveling public.

City officials will be inspecting the railroad bridge because of the concern for the railroad cars.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia firefighters responded to I-70 and Paris Road on Wednesday morning for a semi-tractor trailer with a crane that struck the overpass.

Firefighters said MODOT is aware of the crash and engineers are inspecting the overpass for damage.
