Camden County man charged with throwing metal and glass objects at woman

A Camden County man has been charged with kidnapping after he was accused of preventing a woman from leaving a residence.

According to the probable cause statement, Corey Wasil assaulted the woman multiple times. He attempted to get her phone by force and tackled her to the ground.

The woman told officers that Wasil forcefully removed the phone from her hand while he was on top of her and then broke her phone.

Wasil was also accused of blocking the door, throwing metal and glass objects at the woman and digging his knees into her ribs causing significant pain.

The woman told officers that she eventually struck him in the ribs and was able to leave the residence.

Deputies said they noticed several injuries on the woman including, cuts and bruising.

Wasil told officers he could not remember what had happened. Officers said he seemed intoxicated.

Wasil was also charged with stealing and domestic assault.
