Troopers arrest man after finding methamphetamine, pills, syringes

Troopers arrested Thomas Lee on Sunday after officers conducted a traffic stop on US 24 on suspicion of speeding.

Officers said when they made contact with Lee they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.

Lee denied using marijuana, but said a friend had smoked in the car earlier.

At first Lee denied troopers the opportunity to search his vehicle, but later said there was a methamphetamine pipe in his car.

Officers searched the car and found: methamphetamine, Tramadol, Clonazepam, two glass smoking pipes, three syringes, 73 small plastic bags, cigarette rolling papers, a red straw and ten cotton swabs.

Lee was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
