Inmate serving life in prison for murder dies of natural causes

Jefferson City Correctional officials reported that inmate Edwin Jackson was pronounced dead on Friday.

Jackson was 82-years-old and serving life without parole for first-degree murder from Grundy County.

Jackson had been in the Department of Corrections since 1987.

Officials reported that Jackson had died of apparent natural causes.
