Jefferson City man charged with stealing multiple cell phones

A man is charged with stealing after he was accused of taking cell phones from a business.

According to the probable cause statement, Malik Gordon was a cleaner at the building where the theft occurred.

Officers said he had access to a room where four cellphones and four phone cases were stolen.

Malik had access to the room by means of a security card that was used three different times to open the door, when it should have only been used once.

Officers said it was the only card used on the door after the normal time for cleaning.

Malik admitted to officers that he had stolen the phones and was able to give back two of them.
