Cold and sunny afternoon;Light snow possible Sunday

FRIDAY: After a bitter cold start to the day, temperatures will only reach the low to mid 30s this afternoon with sunshine to start the day. Wind chill values through the day will remain in the teens and lower 20s through most of the afternoon.

TONIGHT: It will be a tad warmer tonight with southerly winds in place, but temperatures will remain below freezing. Clouds will be on the increase ahead of our next system that will arrive as we head into the weekend. With increasing clouds and southerly flow, we’ll see slowly rising temperatures through the night. Overnight lows will be near 27 degrees.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will briefly climb into the low to mid 40s Saturday afternoon. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, but it will be dry. A fast moving wave of low pressure will move through Sunday, bringing another chance of light snow as temperatures drop. Sunday will be very cold, with highs only reaching the upper 20s and lower 30s, falling to near 10 Sunday night. This weekend kicks off a fairly active weather pattern that will lead into next week, with another chance of snow or wintry mix Tuesday. Temperatures across the 7-day remain below average, with the exception of Saturday. We are tracking another system that could bring us a wintry mix.
