Moniteau County deputies arrest man accused of hiding methamphetamine from officers

Moniteau County deputies arrested Nicholaus Abbotte, 29, on Friday after officers stopped him on a motorcycle on Highway 50 for registration violations.

When deputies made contact with Abbotte, officers discovered he did not have the proper registration, insurance or proof of ownership of the vehicle.

Abbottee was taken to the Moniteau County Jail where deputies found methamphetamine that Abbotte had tried to hide.

Abbotte faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance with a bond of $35,000.
