Rain ending by midnight, warming into the week

TONIGHT: Rain will slowly taper off by midnight along with the expiration of the Winter Weather Advisory. We’ll see lows around freezing for most of the viewing area, so any wet spots overnight have the chance of re-freezing which could lead to a couple slick spots by morning. We’ll also see fog develop across the area late tonight into tomorrow morning due to the excess moisture in the area. Winds out of the south will veer to the northwest around 10mph.

MONDAY: Early morning fog should burn off as temperatures climb into the lower and middle 40s across the region by the afternoon. Clouds will clear into the afternoon, leading to mostly sunny skies with winds out of the northwest at 5-10mph.

EXTENDED: Another nice day Tuesday with temperatures in the 40s. We’ll likely see AM fog again on Tuesday, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. Wednesday looks like the best day to get out with temperatures into the middle 50s for most of us with a few spots touching 60, especially to the south and west of I-70. Quick to follow, unfortunately is another cold front that could bring rain & snow for Thursday night, along with another shot of arctic air for the weekend.
