Two men charged for having 53 pounds of marijuana

Last week, ABC 17 News reported officials found a package at FedEx with 23 individually vacuumed plastic bags weighing a pound each bag.

Officials first learned of it when an employee notice a strong smell of marijuana.

After discovering the package of marijuana, investigators then resealed the package to capture those who the package was intended for.

In addition to the 23 bags found, officials found 53 more pounds of marijuana at Roeun Rey and Bunron Rey residence, where they were both charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

Surrounding residents of 3247 Wind River Circle said it’s a great area, it’s truly abnormal.

One resident who did not want to be on camera said, “it’s a really great neighborhood, lots of kids running around, overall everyone is so nice.”
