Man suffers self-inflicted gunshot wound at Red Roof Inn in Columbia
UPDATE 9:30 p.m.: CPD has confirmed that the gunshot was self-inflicted and non-life threatening.
UPDATE 3 a.m.: Columbia police cleared the scene around 3 a.m. Tuesday at the Red Roof Inn where a man was shot hours earlier.
Police told ABC 17 News they obtained a search warrant, but would not release any information about what they found in the motel room.
Online dispatch records show that police responded to the Red Roof Inn, room 201, to assist medical responders.
UPDATE 11:22 p.m.: The Columbia Police Department confirms one man was shot at the Red Roof Inn Monday night.
It is not clear if the man shot himself or someone else shot him. He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to a hospital.
Police said they did not have much cooperation at the scene, but planned to get a search warrant for the motel room.

According to dispatch records, a medical response was called out just before 11 p.m.
At least six police officers are at the scene with police going in and out of the lobby area as well as a room.
An ABC 17 News crew saw one person taken away in an ambulance with a police car following it.
