Resident: St. Louis quadruple homicide suspect in Columbia for less than two days
UPDATE 12/18/17: ABC 17 News spoke to a man who said he lives at the Sears Court home where Dupree was arrested. He said Dupree had been there for less than two days, and before that, he was staying in St. Louis. Dupree has been charged with 20 crimes in connection to the August homicides, including four counts of first degree murder.
UPDATE: St. Louis County police have released the name of the suspect wanted for a quadruple homicide in Columbia.
Ja’Vonne Dupree, 20 years old, is charged with four counts of Murder in the 1st Degree, four counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree, nine counts of Armed Criminal Action, one count of Burglary, one count of Tampering with Evidence.

St. Louis County police confirmed they made an arrest in the August quadruple homicide. The suspect in custody is 20 years old. In a tweet Saturday morning, they said “the investigation is very active and more info will be provided when it’s available.”

According to KTVI, the suspect was apprehended in Columbia.
ABC 17 News confirmed that the Columbia Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team assisted an unidentified agency on Friday afternoon. ABC 17 crews saw SWAT team members and police officers on Sears Court around 2 p.m.
Police said officers helped apprehend a suspect in another agency’s investigation. ABC 17 News is working to confirm whether that suspect is the 20-year-old arrested for the St. Louis County homicide.
