Mexico Public Safety looking for suspect after victim shot in apartment on Hassen Drive

Mexico Public Safety was called to the 900 block of Hassen Drive on Saturday because of reports of a person being shot.

According to an official release, two men reported that about 20 minutes before they called, they were in an apartment on the 900 block of Hassen Drive when an unknown white male came in the unlocked back door.

One of the men was shot in the arm before the suspect from the scene on foot.

The victim was transported to SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital-Audrain by the Audrain Ambulance District and was treated and released.

The release describes the suspect as being around 6’0″ tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball cap and red tennis shoes.
