Patchy drizzle with fog through Monday morning

TONIGHT: Overcast skies and drizzle will stick around through the night, as low level moisture continues to remain in place across Mid-Missouri. It’s likely that we’ll also continue to see patchy fog through the night as well, with temperatures remaining in the lower 40s. Winds out of the southwest up to 10 mph will help erode most of the fog through the evening.

MONDAY: Patchy drizzle possible for the AM commute, by through the day we will see slow clearing, as the storm system that brought us our rain on Sunday will slowly be exiting the area. We will be mostly cloudy throughout the morning, with breaks into sunshine by the afternoon hours. Our temperatures will be pleasant in the middle 50s, and it will be a good day to get in any outdoor activities. Winds will be out of the southwest up to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will continue to be mild throughout region all the way through Thursday, ahead of our next cold front. This cold front is set to bring some of the coldest air of the season, just in time for Christmas. While confidence is high regarding the cold blast, there are still thinks to work out in terms of if we’ll see snow. There is signs though as we head into next weekend that we’ll tap into some moisture, which could bring us our first snow of the season, with temperatures for Christmas likely in the upper 20s for highs.
