Columbia man accused of McKee Street murder indicted by grand jury

A Columbia man accused of killing Nathan Taylor on McKee Street in September has been indicted by the grand jury.

Jeremy Humphry has been indicted for murder in the second degree, unlawfully possessing a firearm and tampering with physical evidence.

ABC17 previously reported Humphry was arrested for the murder in September. Police said detectives were able to determine Humphrey and Taylor “had been in a disturbance shortly before Taylor was shot.”

According to the indictment, Humphry was a convicted felon and should not have been in possession of a firearm when Taylor was killed.

Humphry was then accused of tampering with physical evidence because he allegedly hid the firearm while police were investigating the shooting.
