Columbia man accused of pulling knife on Best Buy employee, threatening to kill him

A Columbia man has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon after being accused of pulling out a knife at a Best Buy store.

According to the probable cause statement, a Best Buy employee was trying to get Allen Houston to leave the store because he was yelling at other store employees.

The employee told police that he asked Houston three times but Houston kept saying, “I’d like to see you make me.”

Police said Houston pulled out a knife from his pocket, opened it and told the store employee, “I can kill you.”

The employee told police that he felt threatened by Houston.

According to the probable cause statement, Houston has served prison time for assault in the past.
