Colder air moves in tonight

TONIGHT: A cold front moves through tonight and the gusty winds will continue through midnight then diminish by morning. Temperatures will drop into the lower 20s by morning with wind chills in the teens to start the day as skies become mostly clear.

TUESDAY: You’ll need a heavier coat as temperatures will be colder, only reaching the upper 30s to near 40 under partly cloudy skies. Northwesterly winds at 8-15 mph will make it feel like the teens in the early morning to upper 20s by late morning.

EXTENDED: Winds will shift to the south and we’ll warm back up Wednesday with high temperatures back up to the lower 50s under mostly sunny skies. A weak disturbance tracks through Mid-Missouri by Thursday which could bring a few flurries, but the overall weather pattern remains dry through most of next week and the drought conditions will likely worsen through the next week. The up and down temperatures continue as we cool to near 40 Thursday and back into the 50s by the weekend.
