Clear skies will allow for a cold night across Mid-Missouri

TONIGHT: Winds will subside through the evening, but under mostly clear skies we’ll see temperatures bottom out in the low to mid 20s across the region. Our overnight low will likely occur around midnight to 2am, as a warm front lifting north through the night will actually bring rising temperatures. Even with that said, temperatures will still be on the cold side.

SUNDAY: After a chilly start to the day, we’ll see temperatures warm up nicely through the afternoon hours. Highs will top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s under mostly sunny skies. It will continue to be a bit breezy, with westerly winds up to 15 mph with wind gusts up to 22. This will keep wind chill values through most of the day in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Through the night Sunday, we are milder compared to previous nights, as lows only bottom out near freezing.

EXTENDED: The work week will start with above average temperatures as we climb into the low 50s Monday but another cold front will move through, dropping temperatures again by next Tuesday with afternoon highs in the upper 30s. We look to modify again by Wednesday as highs rise back into the mid 40s.. A weak disturbance tracks through Mid-Missouri by Thursday which could bring a few flurries, but the overall weather pattern remains dry through most of next week. The next chance for any measurable rain comes as we head into next weekend. Watch ABC17 news for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
