Troopers arrest woman after responding to single-car crash

Troopers responded to Route Y and Route Z on Thursday afternoon for a single car crash.

According to the crash report, the crash happened as the driver of a Ford Focus failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Troopers said the driver, Vicki Spencer, had serious injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.

The Ford Focus was totaled.

Troopers said they arrested Spencer on suspicion of operating a vehicle without a valid license, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance and a felony DWI.

According to the arrest report, Spencer is a persistent DWI offender.
