Jefferson City intersection blocked for almost 45 minutes as crews work multi-vehicle collision

Jefferson City police responded to the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and Woodclift Drive on Wednesday afternoon for a motor vehicle collision with injuries.

Police said the investigation revealed that a red Chevrolet Impala was making a left turn when it collided with a gray Chevrolet Tahoe.

Officers said the driver of the Impala, James White, 84 was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to a local hospital.

Police said the driver of the Tahoe, Donald Roark, 71 did not need to be transported to a hospital for his injuries.

Officers said the roadway of the intersection was blocked in both directions for about 45 minutes requiring traffic to be diverted to nearby side streets.

Both cars suffered extensive damage, police said.
