Taj Mahal gets first routine inspection after health department found multiple violations in May

City officials reported on Wednesday that the Taj Mahal restaurant was routinely inspected after health inspectors found multiple violations in May.

ABC17 previously reported that in May the restaurant was temporarily closed for more than 40 health code violations. The violations ranged from uncovered food and pests in open flour to back-up sewage and mouse feces.

At the end of May, the restaurant reopened. The inspectors said the critical violations had been fixed, and the business’s permit was reinstated.

According to the city’s website, health inspectors said on Wednesday that the kitchen is organized but needed to be cleaned and the dishwasher needed to be fixed.
