UPDATE: Man considered armed and dangerous arrested in St. Louis County

UPDATE 12/6: Giller was arrested by St. Louis County deputies early Wednesday morning.

Giller is currently in custody in the Phelps County Jail.

UPDATE 12/5: Giller has been charged with resisting and interfering with arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of burglary tools and stealing.

According to the probable cause statement, Phelps County deputies observed Giller at a gas station with a car that did not have valid license plates.

Deputies said they had prior information that Giller had an active felony warrant for his arrest for burglary and was wanted for questioning by the Texas County Sheriff’s for an assault on a law enforcement.

Officers said they attempted to pull over Giller but he failed to yield and continued to drive on Highway 63.

Deputies said they eventually lost sight of Giller on County Road 6190.

Later that night, the Dent County Sheriff’s Department called and said they had located Giller’s vehicle.

Deputies said officers found a caliber rifle, a large amount of knifes and hatches, stolen items related to a burglary in Phelps County, and items associated with committing burglaries.

Officers said Giller was a convicted felon and has been in numerous pursuits with law enforcement.

According to the probable cause statement, law enforcement officials have still not found Giller.

ORIGINAL: Phelps County deputies are looking for a man they consider to be armed and dangerous.

Deputies said Justin Giller is wanted for resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, stealing and possession of burglary tools.

Giller is accused of victimizing people in the southern portion of Phelps County by burglarizing homes and stealing numerous vehicles.

Giller travels through and is suspected to be staying in Phelps, Texas, Dent and Pulaski counties.

Deputies ask residents to please keep their homes and vehicles secure.

Officers said if anyone sees Giller, do not approach him and call 911.

Deputies ask that anyone who knows the whereabouts of Giller contact the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department or local law enforcement.
