Mizzou dominates in home win over Miami (Ohio)

The Mizzou men’s basketball team improved to 7-2 after Tuesday night’s 70-51 win over Miami (Ohio). The Tigers had four players in double-figures.

Here’s what Mizzou basketball coach Cuonzo Martin and his team had to say after the game.

Junior Kevin Puryear led the way for Mizzou with 20 points on 6-8 shooting. Kassius Robertson added 17 points. He was 3-7 from three-point range. Jordan Barnett put in 15 points for MU. The senior also brought down eight rebounds.

Freshman Jontay Porter scored just two points, but he had eight rebounds and two blocks. His older brother Michael Porter Jr. was on the bench cheering on his team for the first time since the Tigers’ home opener against Iowa State. Porter Jr. is likely out for the season after having back surgery on Nov. 21.

The Tigers have four more non-conference games remaining on their schedule before SEC play. Up next, Mizzou will play Green Bay on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.
