Unseasonably warm conditions continue through Sunday

TONIGHT: It will be a mild and quiet night across Mid-Missouri. High pressure that has been in control of this pattern will slowly continue to shift east through the night, which will lead to variable light winds. With the shifting high, this will open the door for clouds to slowly build in through the night. Even with the building clouds, we’ll see lows bottom out near 40 degrees, with wind chill values in the upper 30s.

SUNDAY: It will be a cool start to the morning, with lows sitting near 40 degrees. Much like we’ve seen the past several days, the cool mornings will give way to a pleasant and unseasonably warm afternoon. We’ll see highs top out in the mid 60s as we through the day, accompanied with winds out of the southeast up to 11 mph. Winds will become quiet gusty as we head into the night, as an approaching cold front makes it’s way into Mid-Missouri.

EXTENDED: The aforementioned cold front moves through Monday which will bring clouds and a chance of rain.A few showers are possible by mid-afternoon but most of the rain moves in during the evening and overnight, ending by 5 AM. Rainfall accumulation looks less than .50″ for most of mid-Missouri. Temperatures ahead of this front will reach the mid to upper 60s on Monday but cooler air moves in by Monday night, leaving us with a seasonal day Tuesday with high temperatures in the mid-40s. Colder air moves in through the week with arctic air arriving by next weekend. High temperatures by Thursday will only reach into the 30s with nights dipping into the 20s with colder air by the weekend.
