Maries County deputies arrest two after watchful neighbor spots burglars in nearby house
UPDATE 4:40 pm: Maries County deputies arrested Malinda Fraley and Nathan Headrick for the burglary.
According to the probable cause statement, deputies said they found a prybar, headlamp, flashlight and gloves in Fraley and Headrick’s car.
Deputies said the stolen items found in the truck amounted to more than $1,500.
Officers also said they found two glass pipes, a spoon, three hypodermic needles and cotton balls, all which are consistent with the use of methamphetamine.
Deputies said both Fraley and Headrick confessed to their parts of the crime.
Headrick claimed he inteded to take the stolen items and planned on keeping them because he is a hoarder, deputies said.
Fraly said she did not know why they were at the property until they were there and believed they were going to pay for the property before they left.
Fraley was charged with burglary, stealing and possession of burglary tools.
Headrick was charged with burglary, stealing and possession of burglary tools.

ORIGINAL STORY: Maries County deputies responded to a house on Highway 68 in Vichy on Thursday morning after a resident in the area saw doors open at a house where they knew the property owners were not home.
Deputies said when they responded to the area, they noticed two people inside a building on the property, actively loading items into their truck.
Officers said after they investigated the incidents, the two suspects are being held in the Maries County Jail pending formal charges.
The suspects face possible charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, stealing, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies said formal charges are expected on Friday from the Maries County prosecutor.
Officers said the suspects may not have been caught if there was not a watchful neighbor.
Deputies said the incident is a perfect example of community policing at its best. Officers remind residents to always call authorities if they notice something suspicious.
