Cole County deputies search for persons of interest in assault investigation
Cole County deputies said on Wednesday night they responded to the 5400 block of Business 50 West to investigate an assault.
Deputies said when they arrived on scene, they found the victim who was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Officers said the investigation has identified persons of interest who deputies are actively trying to find.
