Man accused of hitting another man with a baseball bat

A Pettis County man was charged with assault and armed criminal action after officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of South Park Street in reference to an assault.

Officers were advised a man had been hit in the head with a baseball bat and the suspect had left the area.

According to the probable cause statement, a male victim had a large abrasion to his forehead and was bleeding after being hit by the bat.

Witnesses stated that Adam Moore was the one that assault the victim.

A witness claimed that Moore had swung the bat at a female victim but the male victim tried to push her out of the way. The female ended up with a red mark on her head.

According to the probable cause statement, Moore has a criminal history of assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
