Man arrested after officers respond to Osage Beach Market Place for reports of a suspicious person

Osage Beach police arrested Lucas Shaw on Monday after officers were dispatched to Osage Beach Market Place in reference to a suspicious person “tweaking” in the parking lot.

According to the probable cause statement, when officers arrived they noticed Shaw was moving around, very animated and did not look like he could stand still.

Officers said Shaw appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine.

Police said when they spoke with Shaw, he said he was not under any influence of drugs.

Officers said when they searched his vehicle they found hydrocodone, lorazepam and a drug that appeared to be diazepam.

According to the probable cause statement, Shaw is on probation for forgery.

Shaw was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
