Unseasonably warm start to the work week

MONDAY: Under sunny skies and breezy winds out of the south, we’ll see a nice day in mid-Missouri. While the morning will feature a light breeze and cool conditions, by the afternoon hours we’ll see winds gust up to 25 mph, which will help temperatures reach towards 70. If you have any plans to put up Christmas decorations or any yard work, you may want to do it during the morning hours. With breezy conditions and low humidity, Benton and Camden Counties are under a Red Flag Warning from 10 AM – 7 PM today. Burning anything during this time is hazardous as fires can spread quickly.

TONIGHT: Tonight will see mostly clear skies, but winds out of the south will help temperatures remain mild. Southerly winds up to 16 mph will allow overnight lows to only drop towards 50 by daybreak.

EXTENDED: Tuesday will also be warm with highs in the mid 60s with more clouds passing through. Our next best chance for rain holds off until Wednesday into Thursday morning as another cold front is set to track into mid-Missouri. Rain will be limited to light rain showers so heavy rain accumulation isn’t likely. Rainfall totals will only range up to .25″. The cold front will allow for a slow cooling trend by the middle of the week with temperatures back into the mid 50s by Wednesday. The first weekend of December looks nothing like winter as temperatures warm back into the mid 50s, reaching towards 60 on Sunday with plenty of sun and dry conditions.
