Columbia police arrest man accused of stabbing victim in neck

Columbia police arrested Paul Tumminia on Wednesday after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Pershing Road regarding a physical disturbance with a weapon.

Police said four people were having a meeting with Tumminia when one male victim said something that Tumminia didn’t like.

Officers said Tumminia got up off of the couch and walked toward the victim, pulled out a knife and stabbed the man on the left side of his neck.

Officers said the victim was transported to a local hospital for his injury.

Tumminia was arrested and faces possible charges of armed criminal action and assault.
