Columbia police ask for public’s assistance in identifying suspect in attempted liquor store robbery

Columbia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the Oct. 29 attempted armed robbery at Dash Liquor on Paris Road.

Police said a man came into the store wearing a mask and carrying a backpack. Police said the man showed a gun to the clerk and demanded money.

The man ultimately left the store without money or merchandise. No one was injured during the attempted robbery.

Detectives were able to obtain the photos from surveillance video inside the business.
