Man charged with delivery of a controlled substance after troopers find 154 grams of marijuana

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Montrell Tobias after officers were informed of a Buick driving in a careless and imprudent manner on northbound U.S. 63.

According to the probable cause statement, a complainant was concerned that the car was going to cause a crash.

Troopers said when they came across the Buick the license plates were registered to a different vehicle.

Officers said when they pulled the car over, they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.

When officers searched the car, they found 154 grams of marijuana and a gun.

Tobias, the driver, informed troopers that he was taking the drugs to Kirksville as a favor for a friend.

Tobias was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and delivery of a controlled substance.
