Weapon fired in St. Elizabeth, five taken into custody in Jefferson City

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office confirmed shots were fired in St. Elizabeth Friday night.

After the weapons offense, Sgt. Mike Ottolini with the Jefferson City Police Department confirmed the Miller County Sheriff’s Office put out a call in an attempt to locate the suspect’s vehicle.

Roughly 45 minutes from the scene, officers in the capital city located the suspect’s vehicle and pulled it over at West Main Street and Highway 179.

According to Ottolini, five people were taken into custody and being questioned.

In a statement on Facebook, Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire said:

“This evening, deputies were dispatched to the St. Elizabeth area for a disturbance, in which a firearm was discharged. No one was injured, and four suspects are currently in custody. No further information is available at this time. We will update when more information is available and the investigation is concluded.”
