Annual “Bowling for Autism” charity event set to kick off Saturday in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The annual Bowling for Autism charity event is set to kick off at AMF Town and Country Lanes in Columbia, starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

The event's proceeds will go toward Easterseals Midwest, a group that helps individuals with disabilities and their families.

Registration to bowl in Saturday's event is $30 with those looking to participate able to register online. Individuals and companies looking to sponsor Saturday's event can also register online.

Bowling for Autism is also holding an auction, currently live on its website. Participants looking to browse the items up for auction, or place a bid may also do so online. The auction will run through 12:45 p.m. Saturday.

Last year, John Cleek Jr., who helped start this annual event said that since the beginning, they've been able to raise close to $450,000 for autism.
