St. Charles teen hurt after motorcycle crash in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A St. Charles teenager was hurt Thursday night after a motorcycle crash in Morgan County.

Nicholas E. Koenigsfeld, 18, was thrown from the motorcycle after he drove off of southbound Route W at Bryan's Way just before 7:30 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a helicopter flew Koenigsfeld to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. MU Health Care told ABC 17 News on Friday morning that Koenigsfeld is in critical condition.

Koenigsfeld was wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.
