Chiefs return for voluntary portion of offseason workout program on Monday

KANSAS CITY, Mo, (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Chiefs took the first steps Monday in preparing for the 2022 NFL season by being one of 13 NFL teams to start the voluntary portion of the offseason workout program.

This period, known as "phase one," is strictly for strength, conditioning and rehab for a two week period.

Head Coach Andy Reid told the media Monday that the team is doing virtual meetings but many players are back in the facility for lifting.

Patrick Mahomes also spoke about the changes to the offense saying, "we'll have to find production in ways different than we did last year because Tyreek was such a big part of the offense."

Full interviews from Monday can be found in the player above.
