COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: Traffic has resumed moving on I-70 westbound.

ORIGINAL: A crash has closed westbound Interstate 70 near the Highway 40 exit, the Missouri Department of Transportation reported Thursday.

MoDOT's traffic cameras showed a long backup stretching into Columbia just before 3:30 p.m. A notice posted on the agency's website said the closure could last an hour. Other details were not immediately available.
