Cooler temperatures and clearing skies on Sunday

TODAY: Temperatures will remain cooler than average today with afternoon highs near 60 degrees. Winds will be quite gusty out of the northwest up to 30 mph, making it feel even cooler. As high pressure builds into the Plains, we’ll see several days of pleasant and sunny weather.

TONIGHT: Clear skies tonight will give way to the coldest night yet this season as we drop to near 40 degrees. Northwesterly winds will help us feel a bit chilly, remaining light between 5-7 mph.

EXTENDED: Next week will start mild and dry with high temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s and cool nights. As high pressure tracks off to the east, we’ll see a return flow of warmth and moisture. This will lead to increasing temperatures through most of next week, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and lows into the 60s by the end of next week. Our next chance of rain doesn’t look to arrive until we head into next weekend. Watch ABC17 News for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
