Tracking storms with severe potential Wednesday

TODAY:

This morning, a line of thunderstorms will pass from west to east. This line of storms will gradually weaken, but likely maintain enough strength to generate lightning, thunder, and pockets of heavy rain. A few stronger cells can't completely be ruled out during the pre-dawn hours, but it looks increasingly unlikely given the environment overnight. Once the sun comes up, and this line will strengthen again as it pushes east of highway 63. Generally, from highway 63 eastward, we expect the best chance for severe storms. This will likely come in the 9 am to 12pm window. Damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes are all possible with this system, but still the chance for these is greatest to our east.

TONIGHT:

This afternoon, this line of storms will exit to the east, and leave us with a few lingering showers before drier air clears us out overnight. Temperatures will have fallen all day into the 50's by the late afternoon, and into the mid-30's overnight.

EXTENDED:

Mostly sunny skies are back Thursday, with highs struggling to return to 60 degrees. We warm up into the mid-60's Friday before a weak front slides through cooling us slightly and bringing a brief chance for rain in the evening. Drier weather returns Saturday, before another passing wave brings a chance for showers on Easter, where we're yet again stuck in the high 50's. We stay in the 50's to start next week.
