School of the Osage bus involved in Wednesday afternoon crash

UPDATE: According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the bus was distracted by children when he rear-ended a car on State Route 42 at Countryside Lane in Miller County around 3:51 p.m.

The driver of the car, Robert P. Switzer, 23, of Richland, was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

A 6-year-old girl on the school bus received minor injuries. She was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.

ORIGINAL STORY: One School of the Osage bus was involved in a Wednesday afternoon crash, school officials said.

Officials said students were on the bust at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported.

Students were returned to the high school campus where they were all reunified with their parents or guardians.
