Callaway County man charged with failing to register as a sex offender

Travis Bealmear was charged with failing to register as a sex offender after deputies got an anonymous tip he was not residing in Callaway County.

According to the probable cause statement, when deputies got the tip, they went to Bealmear’s listed address in the 6000 block of Navaho Trail.

Deputies said they there was no longer a house at the location and after asking neighbors, officers determined Bealmear had not been living at that address for more than a year.

Bealmear was convicted of statutory sodomy and deviate sexual assault in 2001.

Bealmear last verified his offender registration with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office on July 13, 2017, and listed his address in the 6000 block of Navaho Trail.

Deputies said they talked with a woman who claimed that Bealmear had been staying with her most nights in the 5800 block of O’Keefe Ridge Road.

Bealmear was arrested and is currently in the Callaway County Jail.
