Triple shooting on North Blvd. near Business Loop; two people detained

UPDATE: A sergeant with the Columbia Police Department tells ABC 17 News that three people have been shot. All three victims have non life-threatening injuries.

Police said they were first called to a disturbance in the area. They said the shooting took place in the middle of North Blvd. in front of Ruckus Bar and Grill, and that there were multiple shooters. There was a large group of people in the parking lot leading up to the moment shots were fired.

Police have detained two people, but they are not facing any charges at the moment.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police, troopers and deputies are currently on scene at North Blvd. near the Business Loop for a shots fired call.

ABC 17 News confirms shots were fired. It’s unclear at the moment if anyone is hurt.

Right now, police have North Blvd. blocked off between Coats Street to Rangeline. Law enforcement officials appear to be searching for shell casings.

The Columbia Police Department was first to respond to the scene but immediately called for backup. The Highway Patrol and Boone County Sheriff’s deputies are also assisting with the investigation.
